Spoon!
By SteveNo, this isn’t about The Tick.
At the risk of this becoming, “Steve’s Music Blog,” I just picked up tickets to see these guys in a couple of weeks. This isn’t my favorite track off their new CD, “Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga,” but all of their songs just sound… cool. I just dig Britt Daniel’s voice for some reason.

Good album, though I wish they’d go back to Girls Can Tell quality…

I actually saw them live last year and they were pretty weak. Britt seemed unenthusiastic and their set list wasn’t so hot.

Yeah, I prefer some of their more straightforward stuff, though I think there’s more of it on the new record than on Gimme Fiction.
And don’t harsh my buzz about their live show, man! They’re actually headlining an outdoor festival thingy here in Seattle in a couple of weeks.

You know, since you can’t ply your critical skills in the game arena, Steve’s Music Blog ain’t such a bad idea. I have no idea what you kids are listening to and this is a lot easier than turning on the college radio station.

Kids, hah! I’m older than you, you young whippersnapper you.

/offers Steve a sip from my “Ensure” complete nutrition shake…
“Here… wash down your meds, ole buddy! Now, where’d I put my arthritis cream?”

It’s old, but I still dig that little marshmallow-peep-robot dancing to Spoon’s “I Turn My Camera On”:

And you should definitely call that blog “Steve’s Music Blog”. It would be very postmodern.

Yow, I hadn’t seen that dancing peep before. That’s probably an easy song to program for this kind of thing because it’s so minimalist.
I could call it “Steve’s Music Blog Online.” I bet that URL is available!
